We are pleased to announce that Megan Howes is the recipient of the Industry Planner award for the 2024 Canadian Meetings + Events Expo (CMEE) Hall of Fame.

The Industry Planner category honours Canada’s top event and meeting professional who demonstrates a true passion for their craft and the industry. This person consistently discovers creative ways to improve how day-to-day business is conducted and enhances the overall quality and foundation of the industry, while building a personal legacy. The awardee is judged on the below elements:

• Proven return on investment (ROI) from examples on recent projects and events
• Ability to find and employ unique solutions and growth opportunities
• Demonstrating a recent scenario and how effective problem-solving supported the result
• Examples of best practices that the nominee has created and implemented to support the industry

The 2024 Hall of Fame inductees were announced on August 13 at the annual CMEE in Toronto, ON.

The mandate of the Hall of Fame is to recognize and celebrate individuals who have made a lasting impression and impact in the Canadian events and meeting industry. It is the sole independent awards program for event and meeting professionals and suppliers in the country.
